NYC-based vibraphonist Joe Locke has wowed audiences around the world with his brilliant work as a player, composer and bandleader for decades. Joe has numerous recordings as a leader and also a sideman, and has worked with many jazz giants during his celebrated career.
Stefon is not only one of the most recognized vibraphonists on the planet, but also is considered a key innovator of his generation. He leads his own groups, such as Blackout and more recently, Sonic Creed, and is also a sought after educator and public speaker.
Hailed as nothing short of a "genius" by his NYC peers in the jazz world, Steve has enjoyed high-profile associations with Dave Holland, Mulgrew Miller, Chris Potter and many others. Steve's vibes playing is beloved for its originality and unpredictability.
Monte has enjoyed a long career as a world class vibraphonist, collaborating with Branford Marsalis, Steve Jordan, Victor Bailey, Dave Stryker and many others. He also held the vibes chair in the Milt Jackson Tribute Trio with pianist Mike LeDonne and bassist Bob Cranshaw. Monte performs regularly around NYC.
Warren resides in Baltimore, Maryland, but is a fixture of the vibrant NYC jazz scene, performing in all the city's top venues. In addition to being "the reason" Christian McBride formed the popular group Inside Straight, Warren leads his own band, Wolfpack, and has released several albums .
Behn is one of the rising stars of the NYC jazz scene, performing regularly at Small's and other venues, with a host of world class musicians. Along with saxophonist Ken Fowser, Behn's quintet has released several albums. Behn also is a regular contributor to vibesworkshop.com
Tyler is steadily amassing a following in NYC and around the world for both his acoustic vibraphone work and also his innovative Electric Trio, in which he plays the MalletKAT. He performs regularly with many world class musicians, and has released two albums as a leader.
Anthony spent many years on the West Coast as an in-demand pianist, keyboardist, vibraphonist, producer and educator. He recently relocated to NYC, and is busy establishing himself in the scene. He has released numerous albums, a book, and is currently working on a second book (about the vibraphone!)
Christos has been entertaining audiences both in NYC and around the world for years, with his virtuosic mallet playing and engaging compositions. He leads the groups Manhattan Vibes and Point Two, and is a sought after educator and clinician.
Tom has been a respected member of the NYC jazz community for a number of years, known for both his first-rate four-mallet technique and also his abilities as
a composer. He performs frequently in a variety of venues.
A New York native, Mark has worked with many heavyweights of the NYC jazz scene, including pianist Kenny Barron. Also, Mark runs his own record label, teaches jazz studies at Juilliard, and tours in Europe.
Bill has been a fixture of the New York creative music scene for many years, a member of Groove Collective, the Puppeteers and many other NYC-based groups. He has recorded prolifically and also toured and recorded with such high-profile artists as Steely Dan and Debbie Harry.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Yuhan moved to the U.S. to attend Berklee College of Music, then came to New York to establish herself in the jazz scene. She leads a quintet, and has a second record coming out soon, featuring all her own original music.
Chris is one of the bright young composers/vibraphonists of the NYC scene. His album "Waking Dreams" was praised critically, and Chris performs regularly here in New York and also tours with a variety of artists.
Bryan is one of NYC's most sought after mallet sidemen, performing and recording with many jazz greats over the years, including Sam Rivers and Branford Marsalis. He also is a good pianist and composer, and has toured both the U.S. and Europe.
A native of Connecticut, Steve has enjoyed a long, fruitful career as a television and film composer, and also a sought after jazz mallet artist, with credits including Ornette Coleman, Pat Martino and Roberta Flack. Steve leads his own groups and also works as a sideman in the NYC scene.
Stefan hails from Germany, but resides in Brooklyn. He has a long resume of associations with jazz artists throughout the world, and has recorded a number of albums. He also is an educator, with associations at the Brooklyn Music Conservatory and other institutions.
Originally from Oklahoma, Joe represents the younger generation of talented vibraphonists calling NYC home. He is a protege of Stefon Harris, also studies at Juilliard, performs locally on a regular basis, and tours with Ralph Peterson.
